Theft Prevention Works?

FORBES is reporting software fixes on Hyundai and Kia vehicles are working.

(FYI---cars by those companies are manufactured in Alabama and Georgia).

"As of mid-July around 60% of eligible vehicles have reportedly received the no-cost update and it’s already having the desired effect.

The frequency of whole vehicle theft, as calculated by HLDI, has now dropped by an estimated 64% for Kia and Hyundai vehicles that received the upgrade. Previously, HLDI reported that by the first half of 2023, thefts of older Hyundai and Kia models had increased by 1,000% since the pandemic’s onset."
