MMMM #10* - Cable News Wars

As Americans divided along roughly party lines in the past fifteen years or so, their TV viewing habits followed suit. FOX became the top rated cable news network by advancing a conservative pro-Republican line, while CNN attracted a more liberal, Democratic viewership by supporting a more DNC-friendly agenda. Viewers spent their time watching only programs that mirrored and supported their existing political beliefs, which solidified the division even more. Now FOX has hired two Democratic insiders as commentators for their coverage of the Democratic Convention in Denver starting today. A development that has some Democrats treating them as traitors for consorting with an "enemy" network. AP's David Bauder has the full story. By the way, on FTR, last Friday our guest was a Democrat to discuss the convention, while next Friday a Republican will talk about the following week's GOP meeting.
