LESS of Christmas Something?
It seems the retail Christmas displays go up earlier each year, the stores seem to open earlier and stay open later, and no matter what a store sells, there seems to be some exagerated way to connect your products with the gift-giving. ("Wouldn't Dad just love vascetomy under the tree this year?")
Yet it seems I have discovered one place where there is LESS Christmas than in previous years. Radio. During my years in that medium it seems we played a Christmas song every third or fourth song as the holliday approached. Like "Granda Got Run Over By A Reindeer" (Wayne Bridge, the brother of my longtime friend Gary, played guitar and more for that song!),and other more traditional classics. But this year I've gone for relatively long periods listening without any holiday songs. Are stations programming less of it? Or it a case of my memory being just a touch faulty?
