WAKA MD Telethon

Though the total collected was slightly less than 2008, this year's Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon concluded successfully this evening. The Our Prattville Magazine had a nice story about the event, as did the Montgomery Advertiser. It was the 13th year WAKA has participated in the event. Charities everywhere are suffering in the economy, from two directions! Just as there are fewer people able to donate because of the increased unemployment, there are more demands on their good works. The station is most appreciative of all of those folks who donated!
