The Shroud

In High School I read a book about The Shroud of Turin, which called Turin Italy home. I was taught by Salesian brothers and priests, and their "Mother House" is in Turin. Believers say the shroud was the actual burial cloth of Jesus Christ.
Now another study has been conducted which organizers say shows the shroud could have been created as a fake using tools available at the time. If that's true, it would punch a hole in one of the tenets of the faithful...that even modern science can't show how the figure of a person was imprinted on the linen cloth.
There are web sites now where the history of the shroud is detailed...though there are long stretches when there's not much information. The new study was done by a group of non-believers, and the faithful are likely to ignore it. Those who want more proof the shroud is a fake will celebrate it.
