Two are charged with the burning of ten churches in Texas...not unlike the church burnings in Alabama, for which three Birmingham-Southern students were arrested. All three eventually pled guilty.
Does arson itself tend to be a young white male crime?
Nobody was hurt in the church burnings in Texas or Alabama.

ReplyDeleteHowever, arson is a crime that, by its very nature, is often found in the presence of anther crime... such as murder, for example.
As well, arson is a "stepping-stone" crime. Arsonists are well known to have developed into more hardened crimes/criminal acts. Rape, for example, is often the successor criminal act to burglary.
