a Pew report finds a majority of Americans don't object to those marriages within their own families:

 ...(63%) say it “would be fine” with them if a member of their own family were to marry someone outside their own racial or ethnic group.

But regional differences exist...most of the states where there are the largest per cent age of interracial marriages are West of the Mississippi. Yet the South has a larger percentage that the North-East.
