The Fight Against Alabama's Immigration Law is Overseas.

The Huffington Post has an excellent report on the union fight to force big multinational companies like Hyundai and Mercedes to take a stand for repealing the Immigration law....and it quotes a Hyundai official in South Korea as saying the company must take concerns about the law seriously. But AP quotes an Alabama Hyundai spokesman as asking why their company is being "singled out".
Hyundai and Mercedes have huge plants in Alabama. The Alabama legislature is considering slight changes in the law, but only those that appease law enforcement and business concerns. Sponsors, and Governor Robert Bentley, insist there will be no repeal of the law. But the article says former Governor Don Siegelman wrote a letter to the automakers in opposition to the law. I'm trying to obtain a copy of that letter.
