Trayvon

Billions of words have been written about him now, achieving in death a significance that he may never have reached in life...though you never know.
Today's story in The Christian Science Monitor including the information that the police didn't think they had enough evidence to arrest the Neighborhood Watch captain who shot the teenager. And that in itself is an amazing event. Police slow to arrest someone involved in a fatal shooting?
Can you imagine them being slow to arrest Trayvon if he had shot George Zimmerman instead of the other way around?
Other reports said they did a background check and drug test on Trayvon that night, but not on the shooter.
Was Trayvon the aggressor? I have no idea, but one thing is increasingly clear. The small town cops in Florida blew it.

[PLUS: Add to it all the absolute irony of the Congressman being escorted off the U.S. House floor because he wore a hoodie and dark glasses for comments on the situation.]
