The Meals On Wheels Foundation ranks Alabama 6th for the number of senior citizens who go hungry. The report found 17.3 % of Seniors in Alabama face hunger problems. The national rate gives The United States a grade of "F" in four categories and says the hunger problem for seniors has increased by 78% since 2001.
