Alabama Public Television announces a new Executive Director.

[UPDATE: A magazine that reports on Public Broadcasting says two top APT staff were fired for refusing to air religious programs.]

  1. Up here in the Ham, we're hearing lurid rumors of coup d'etats and frog-marching, all of it being squelched by the tsunami of information about the purge at Advance. You're closer to the APT situation in many ways. What's really going on? I mean, Don Boomershine???

  3. Lots of speculation and rumors about what appears to be a purge of two top APT officials by the board. Money, as usual is the key here. APT's budget was cut again and again, leaving the network a shadow of what it was in decades past. Yet a Washington D.C. bureau was opened at the same time the Montgomery facility was closed.
