What other kind of company could be fined $3-Billion Dollars and still be in business the next day?
That's why companies---GlaxoSmithKline included---exist. To make as much profit as possible. Why would people be shocked to hear a company rep urging salespeople to "become millionaires" selling their products? Or that the company couldn't resists the big profits for selling the drugs for non-approved purposes?
CBS points out that the company made an estimated $18-Billion on two of the drugs they were found to be marketing illegally. Pocket change.
[UPDATE: The Press-Register reports Alabama will be a few million of that $6-Billion.]
