Janus Republicans

Another perfect example of the two faced nature of some Alabama politics is this quote in an al.com story about a North Alabama State Senator who is running for re-election:

He said his campaign will be focused on bringing more roads and jobs to North Alabama, with a particular emphasis on landing more federal jobs. 'There are going to be future BRACS," he said. "We're in a sweet spot and we need to continue to capitalize on that."

BRACS are the Base Realignment and ClosingS that can pull the rug out from under a military installation.
So this GOP State Senator in a solid Republican State want to make sure the GOP in Washington fails in it's attempt to slash federal spending and shrink the size of government.

  1. This guy doesn't even know what BRAC is.

My guess is that he's smoking something that is not legal in Alabama.
