...and it's not within striking distance of your local IT repair person....NASA has lost contact with a comet hunting Deep Impact spacecraft that's been on the job since 2005.
The Jet Propulsion Lab web page has the story with this odd illustration:
I say "odd" because...did someone forget to take an actual photo of it before launch? Why then an "artist's concept"?
And one other thing. The craft is supposed to be this great comet hunter, but look at this video it shot of a comet. That's the best it can get from space where there is no interference from the atmosphere?
I am not even close to being one of those "Moon landing didn't happen" nuts, but...
