I don't run ads on this website, but every now and then I point folks in the direction of a product I like (or hate), and the former is the case for this year's Christmas Tree.

A 5-footer at Lowe's for $19.95...and that sale is still on, apparently.
Nicely shaped, trimmed to order and net-wrapped too.
They may be doing it as a "loss-leader", but whatever.
If you are still to get one, you can't get a better price unless you wait till 12/24/13 or so.
And that's an unsolicited, uncompensated endorsement.
 Merry Christmas!

  1. How old are those trees? When were they cut?

I'd rather pay a bit more for a fresh-cut tree that will last through the actual Christmas season (January 5).

This is the Advent season, which lasts until Christmas Eve. Christmas is Christmas Day through January 5. (That's why we have the carol "The Twelve Days of Christmas"

  2. And for good measure, here's a more elaborate version, direct from the Royal Albert Hall in London--

  3. Jay...
Not sure of their age..I tries to card 'am but they would not cooperate. But they feel pretty fresh with no needle drop to speak of.

  4. Jay, I was with Tim when he bought it. It is very fresh & is not a 5' BUT a 6' & it is a Frasier Fir & you know they are always more expensive? My family (my dear Mother, Louise, really) never decorated our tree until Christmas night (we always thought Santa did it)& it was always awesomely beautiful. She never took it down until January 6th. We continued to play Christmas music until then, too!

  5. Gary, you are doing things right!

And on January 6th, I hope you were singing or at least humming "We three kings of Orient are."
