The new "Alabama Voices" Museum inside the Alabama Department of Archives and History building in Montgomery is taking shape nicely.
Director Steve Murray gave Gary Bridge and me a peek at the progress when we stopped by Monday.
One of the features is a miniature town meant to represent typical small towns in Alabama. Many were founded on rivers. Others, like the model above, grew where the trains ran.
Kenneth A. Olsen's First Gear company is heading up the modeling.
