Sunday Focus: Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not much most folks can think about this morning other than the COLD!
It will be a BIG event...just about all of the Eastern third of the U.S. will feel the impact....the coldest weather in some places in decades.
Here in Montgomery it will stay below freezing between Sunday night and Wednesday mid-day. There will be a 70% chance for scattered snow flurries and ice tonight, with strong winds and stronger gusts! (WINDS...WILL BE SUSTAINED FROM THE NORTHWEST AT 15 TO 25 MPH...WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 40 MPH.)

The Weather Service says the national picture is brutal:

Particularly noteworthy will be the extreme wind chills and nearly
unheard-of daytime highs that are forecast. Wind chill warnings are in
effect for many areas with wind chills on the order of -30 to -50 degrees
expected! Afternoon highs on Monday for parts of the Midwest states and
the Ohio Valley will fail to reach zero degrees! The good news is that it
will be a quick event, and moderating temperatures are expected to return
by Wednesday.

Montgomery officials are monitoring the situation, but as of early Sunday Morning, have not decided to close schools or other public services. Stay tuned!
And bundle up!
