Best Historic City Promotion

Entrance to The Riverfront
My friend Gary Bridge has passed along a posting that USA Today is using to increase its click count by urging people to vote for the most historic city in the US.

Montgomery is on the list of 20 cities, and was in 3rd place when I checked a while ago. Like most of these contests, you can vote once a day.
Work on Dexter Ave. to be done by the anniversary.
Civil War Era Home, now offices near Downtown.

I figure what the heck. It's better to have Montgomery win the poll than not.

And with the 50th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery march coming up next year (plus the 60th of The Montgomery bus boycott and the 150th of the end of the Civil War!) history will be on everyone's minds for a while.
     So vote early and often.
Oh yea. One of the other cities on the list is Washington D.C.
River View of Downtown.
You might consider the vote another chapter in the
Civil War.

  1. Thank you for helping to get this info out by posting it on your Blog, Tim. I keep believing I made the right decision to buy my home & move here which was, believe it or not, last April 25th! Thank you.
