Not sure how you would say it in his native language, but I'm confident Hamid Karsai said something to the effect of "Not a chance" when offered a meeting with President Obama at a U.S. Air base in Afghanistan on Memorial Day.
Karsai has yet to say anything...even a word of sorrow...about recent killings of U.S. personnel by Afghan police and soldiers.
The offer of a meeting with Obama was a last minute thing......because the U.S. wasn't going to let PRESIDENT Karsai know in advance about it.
They don't trust him, worried he would call up his Taliban/Al Queda friends and tip them off.
Such an appropriate Memorial Day gesture on Karzi's part.
