Sunday Focus: “Cause that’s what I do to people that don’t listen.”

    That's the explanation given by a 16 year old charged with shooting a cab driver in the back of the head twice, and then taking $500 from the dying driver in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
     It is true that crime in the U.S. is down to an historic low, but with events like that shooting, and the deaths of seven people shot and stabbed to death in Southern California over the weekend, it certainly doesn't feel like it is down.
   The California shootings were allegedly the work of  22 year old Elliot Rodger, who reportedly had Asperger's Syndrome. He was the son of a Hollywood film producer. 
     Police say he killed himself after he stabbed his three roommates to death and killed three other people elsewhere.

     The Asperger's diagnosis will being immediate comparisons to Sandy Hook Elementary shooter Adam Lanza, who also shot himself to death after his rampage. I wonder what Elliot said about Lanza when he killed those children? 
     The L.A. Times obtained a lengthy disturbing blueprint allegedly written by Elliot Rodger, who also left behind a series of online videos so disturbing that police were called, but found no reason to be alarmed. The Times say she wrote:

"That would have ended everything," he wrote. "For a few horrible seconds, I thought it was all over."

Unfortunately it was not.
