Is It Reality or Just Image?

A slow day at Montgomery; Airport

The Wright Brothers 1st School was here!
The VP for Air Service at the Montgomery Airport and at The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce will discuss air service on

Your Community This Week

on ABC Montgomery Sunday Morning at 9:00AM.
Watch as Chip Gentry talks about the reality of flying into and out of Montgomery Regional Airport:

"When people say they can save a hundred or so dollars driving to Atlanta, you have to ask yourself: ‘At the end of the day, that’s a four-and-one-half to five-hour drive. Here’s another thing – Atlanta will give you an experience, however that experience will not be the experience here. By the time you would get into the airport; check your bag or in some cases, a savvy business traveler will not check a bag, but print a boarding pass from home. By the time someone is on the east side of Atlanta – you’re sitting at your gate (in Montgomery) or before someone reaches the state line."

  1. Getting on an airplane in MGM may be more convenient, but the horrors of the ATL airport cannot be denied.

Most of my trips have been to Baltimore to see family. It was best to drive to BHM, park the car and take a nonstop Southwest flight to BWI and rent a car.

But in two weeks I'll be moving to Maryland and won't be using planes much!
