Waffle House Tip Policy

     So a guy wants to give a waitress at a Waffle House in North Carolina a $1,000 tip and he puts it on his credit card.
     But the ubiquitous 24/7 chain policy won't allow it.
     Here's the rest of the story, but my question is why they don't wait till 30 days or so after the charge goes through and then give the waitress the charged tip?

    I think the Waffle House policy is correct. There's always the possibility of fraud in something like this.
