Population Limitation

     If humans had to go through what one species does to give birth, I suspect there would be relatively few of us.

     I know mothers will chide me for suggesting that nine months is a short period to carry a baby, but it is compared to this octopus, which stayed on her brood of eggs for 53 months!

     Then again she was sitting on as many as 165 eggs...and if she followed her species normal routine, she then went off and died.
