     What you mostly hear when those two names are said in the same breath is that Alabama Governor Robert Bentley has refused to expand Medicaid.

But here's the today story: Alabama is one of just a few states that is using its OWN money to continue paying doctors seeing Medicaid patients a  higher rate into 2015..AND the higher rate is a key part of Obamacare.

      Now just where Alabama intends to get that General Fund money is anyone's guess.
      It is curious that Alabama would agree to pay the higher rate (44 states have said no!) while at the same time fighting Obamacare tooth and nail.
