Saturday Status: Alabama K-12 gets an "F"

"Leaders and Laggards", the organbization calls their report. And they slam Alabama with almost ALL "F" grades.

And who is it from? A Foundation of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce....about the most pro-Republican, pro-business group in the Universe.
Will the low ranking make a dent here in Alabama?

  1. "Alabama receives above average marks on fiscal responsibility. Two-thirds of the state’s pension is funded, and the state’s most recent pension contribution was 100%."

But the teachers, and other state employees, haven't received raises for umpteen years. (The recent "bonus" doesn't count.)
