I've never see the Showtime program Homeland---there are only so many shows anyone can put on their schedule, even with a DVR.
But a 60 Minutes segment tonight profiled one of the actors in the series and he was among the most interesting people I've never heard of. That's him on the right in the logo.
Watch the story of Mandy Patinkin online.
And while I'm recommending 60 Minutes segments, don't miss the interview by Nora O'Donnell with The Archbishop of Boston, who has the ear of Pope Frances. Fast forward if you must to the end of the interview. That's when O'Donnell asks about the Roman Catholic Church's refusal to allow women to serve as priests. She gets into the topic and does not let go. The Cardinal's answers are, well, nonsensical. (Other than that, I liked him!)
You go Nora!
[Tomorrow morning's Monday Morning Media Memo includes the story of a police officer threatening a civilian videotaping an encounter with the officer. And my own recognition of the talent hiding behind a silly media name. The MMMM posts at 1:00AM.]
