The BBC is reporting on a secret mission the U.S. undertook in 1950 to treat the ailing King Abdulaziz bin Abd al-Rahman al-Saud.
The King was suffering from arthritis in his legs, and had appealed to the U.S. for help. Neither the U.S. nor The Saudis wanted anyone to know about the mission, and so it was conducted in secrecy...only now becoming public.
