NUTS!

There is more reason than ever to eat a single serving of nuts, including peanuts, every day.
     A large study finds...

"...while most studies in the past have been interested in the links between nuts and cardiovascular disease, the current study found the benefit also applied to death from other diseases including cancer, stroke, diabetes, respiratory, and neurodegenerative diseases. The reduction in risk of developing neurodegenerative disease like Alzheimer’s was robust: for someone who ate 10 or more grams of nuts per day, it was about 45% less than someone who ate none."

This is especially good news for Alabama, which is the fourth largest peanut producing state.
200,000 acres of peanuts are planted in the state.
While eanuts were included in the new medical study, I am sad to report that peanut butter did not produce the same dramatic results.
And the other negative about peanuts is this: a serving includes 160 calories, almost all of them from fat!

  1. Depends on the kind of peanut butter you're talking about.

I only eat pure PB, not the one with added oils, sugar, fats and suchlike. The label reads, "Peanuts, salt." Nothing else.

So, how could pure PB give different results than adulterated PB?
