The Guardian website has posted a story about an Alexander City police officer, including a recording of the white officer allegedly saying a black man should be shot and killed, and the shooting made to look like a legitimate police action by planting fake evidence.
The paper says Alexander City officials paid $35k to the man with a recording of the incident, without the approval of the city council. Watch for racist language in the full-length story HERE.
The listing of other Alabama stories at the bottom of that one in The Guardian illustrates how difficult it is for Alabama boosters and tourism officials to sell the state.
