Sunday Focus: Does Silence=Consent?

  

   That seems to be the key question about the latest (as of Saturday) dust up over Donald Trump.

     CBS TV and others  reported the story.

     If someone makes what you know to be a false statement about your opponent, do you have a moral obligation to correct the statement?

No, says Trump:

If someone made a nasty or controversial statement about me to the president, do you really think he would come to my rescue? No chance!

      Of course what the Trump supporter in the audience said was not a "nasty or controversial" statement. It was a lie. And Trump knew it. 

     I'll be glad when this primary season is over. Then at least we can focus on two people---or more if an independent candidate pops up.

     The last GOP debate is almost six months away! on March 16th!
