Innocent Until......

Here's a Washington Post story with a message for people in general and reporters in particular. This is why we treat everyone charged as innocent until proven guilty.

It is not a stand alone case, just the most recent one. The Post reports the Texas murder defendant....

"........who was arrested in April 2016 and set to go to trial last month, was released from jail Sept. 13.
His attorney, Tim Moore, could not immediately be reached for comment, but he told the Star-Telegram that Sanders had denied the charge against him from the beginning and was “elated” that it had been dismissed."

 While the outcome is judicial, it it hardly a completely happy ending. The suspect was charged with murdering his two year old daughter...but now her seven year old brother has admitted he did it by accident and was afraid to tell police.
