Somebody took a bite of my Sunday N.Y. Times...

The hole was there when it arrived on my lawn this morning, letting me watch CBS Sunday Morning through the paper.

And speaking of, a fascinating report on this morning's show about Harper Lee and a missing true-crime book she may have written, Alexander city lawyer Tom Radney, and a minister who may have killed several people.

That's Radney on the left in his office. He died in 2011, perhaps best known for the Alabama Democratic Party "Radney Rule", you can't run as a Democratic candidate if you've supported Republican candidates in the previous four years.

Watch the CBS Sunday Morning segment. Radney may now be better known as the defense lawyer who represented the minister mentioned above AND the man who shot and killed the minister! Great story.

Speaking of The Radney Rule, one person who was blocked from running as a Democrat in Alabama because of it will be profiled Monday on Alabama News Network
Artur Davis is running for Mayor Montgomery, but previously
wanted to run as a Democrat for the Montgomery County Commission. The Radney rule prevented him from doing so. The mayor's race, on the other hand, is a non-partisan election.

Watch the Face2Face interview with Artur Davis Monday at 5:00pm on CBS 8 or at 5:30 on ABC 32.

  1. The president of the United States didn't want you to read a NYT article critical of him, so he took it out.

    That's called "executive privilege."
