A USA Today-produced "subscriber exclusive section" of The Montgomery Advertiser is all about traveling, but ignores Montgomery,
They did mention two Civil Rights sites in Birmingham.
Local readers don't need the insert. They know about the area, but all of those inserts in other USA Today papers...that's another story and a missed opportunity to draw more tourists to the area. It happens just as there are more reasons than ever for tourists to come here, especially the opening of the EJI lynching Memorial.
The Advertiser, and USA Today are owned by Gannett Company, which owns over 100 daily newspapers, and nearly 1,000 weekly newspapers.
