But nothing escapes the Trump cloud that covers much of America, especially progressive America.
And so, that seemed to be the theme of many of the questions from the people at the bookstore to hear her talk about her Father, and today's hate-filled culture.
Mark Kennedy: "It's like the 1960's on speed"...and he said he was certainly not the most popular person at the Thanksgiving table.
He urged people to talk with Trump supporters and try to reason with them about their beliefs,
"People fall prey to fear", they commented, by way of explaining how we got where we are.
