Alabama Unemployment

The state unemployment figures for Alabama won't be out till May 22nd, but there is no reason to think that the stats will be different from the national numbers released today....and those are dismal...14.7%.

We'll see what the numbers on May 22d show. And btw:
the historic high unemployment rate in Alabama came in December of 1982: 15.5%

UPDATE, 5-10-20

Two of President Trump’s top economic advisers projected Sunday that unemployment will climb as the coronavirus pandemic continues its sweep across the United States, with one official predicting that the unemployment rate will jump to 20 percent by next month.
