During Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed's virtual town hall meeting earlier this week, I asked if he has the power to require masks regardless of city council action.
Last night the council refused to approve an mask ordinance, astonishing doctors who were at the meeting.
Today, Reed did exactly what I was suggesting with my question---he signed an executive order that will have the same effect as the failed ordinance.
$25 fines for violators.
Come on people. Wear the damn masks and let's get out of this pandemic alive.
