The race between Republican Tommy Tubberville and Democrat Doug Jones is a statewide race, or course, so in areas that are hardcore GOP you are likely to see many more Tubberville signs, and in Democratic strongholds, more for Jones.
So I was surprised to see these seemingly adjoining signs in my Montgomery neighborhood:
But when I looked closer at the signs, I noticed a fading word had been added to the Tubberville sign:
They probably need to run over the word never with some fresh magic marker.
Montgomery may have been the first capitol of the Confederacy, but it is now one of a few Alabama Democratic strongholds.
Hillary Clinton won the city in 2016...though Trump won the state (and the White House).
So it makes sense that there are many more of his signs on the Montgomery yards I drive past.
I have yet to see a single Trump sign, but I have seen several Biden signs in my neighborhood.
