Update: Three Year Anniversary of Montgomery Murder

 

It has been three years since a 92 year old Montgomery woman was beaten to death, and a 27 year old suspect was arrested days later.

At the time, police said they’ve charged 27-year-old Rodney McQueen in the killing of 92-year-old Mary Gedel. McQueen was charged with one count of capital murder during a robbery and one county of capital murder during a burglary.

McQueen remains in the Montgomery County Detention Center.

Gedel’s body was found at in her home on South Court Street on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 after someone had called police saying she had not been seen in several days.

The Montgomery County D.A's office did not respond to our request for an update on the murder.
