Way Early Pizza place in New York City

My childhood friend Steve's Great-Grandfather Angelo opened up one of the first pizzerias in New York, now called Angelo's Restaurant on Mulberry Street in the Little Italy section of Manhattan. Steve actually grew up above the restaurant. He shared this photo with me last week.

We met after his parents (and mine) move to Queens in the mid 1950's.

That's Steve on the left, me in the middle, and Steve's brother Doug on the right, on Halloween. Doug was going for a monster look, while Steve and I tried for Laurel & Hardy. Probably 1961?
