A Good Read: The Jeff Davis Avenue Name Change Story in the NY Times

      The New York Times has published a lengthy article about the proposal to change the name of Jeff Davis Avenue to Fred Gray Avenue after the iconic Civil Rights Attorney. Gray grew up on the Avenue.

     The city wants to change it, but the Governor Kay Ivey-approved state law protecting confederate monuments is blocking the change.
