Covid strikes again---no Christmas Parade in Montgomery

From the city of Montgomery:

MONTGOMERY – The Montgomery Capital City Christmas & Camellia Bowl Parade is canceled this year due to rapidly rising COVID-19 infection rates and widespread case activity in Montgomery and throughout Alabama.

To limit the spread of COVID-19 and protect friends, families and neighbors, residents are reminded of safer, alternative ways to celebrate the season that adhere to state and local health orders, including driving by the City’s Christmas Tree across from Montgomery City Hall or driving down Dexter Avenue to see the Capitol’s Christmas Tree. Donated by the Bailey family, the City Christmas Tree is a Red Cedar from Bucksnort, Alabama, which is located in Montgomery County.
