Covid19: What the late Larry Dixon's Doctor says.

    I spoke with Jackson Hospital critical care pulmonologist Dr. David Thrasher over the weekend, after his friend and patient Larry Dixon died of Covid19. And he says Dixon left a deathbed message for people about the disease that killed him two weeks after he apparently became infected at a social gathering:

“We messed up. We just let our guard down. Please tell everybody to take this thing seriously and get help as soon as you get the virus.”

      Dr. Thrasher says that means as soon as you test positive for Covid19. Seek treatment immediately, regardless of symptoms. He says unlike the flu, Covid presents itself with no symptoms or just minor symptoms, and then quickly degenerated into critical illness.
