The long-delayed opening of the third of three Selma-Montgomery arch Interpretive Centers is here! It will open on May 28th.
The most recent delays was, of course, Covi19.
Before that there were display delays and construction delays. But now it is going to open "at a reduced capacity"...meaning two days a week:
"Hours of operation will be Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Trail grounds are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to sunset."
The U.S. Park Service operates the center, but it is located on the ASU Campus. They held a preview media viewing in March of 2020, but along came Covid19 to block any actual opening for the pubic. These photos came from that year-ago preview.
