UPDATE----Bird I.D.?

Caught this visitor this morning....any help in providing an identification?

 email me at timothylennox@charter.net please.

UPDATE: A visitor emailed to say it is a yellow bellied woodpecker...but in comparing photos, I believe he is thinking of a yellow bellied sapsucker, as in the photo below?

  1. I think your visitor intended to say red-bellied woodpecker.

    1. This bird I.D. business is tricky...I am sure it is one of those, but the sapsucker and the woodpecker are similar in appearance and as usual there is a big difference between male and female.
