So the perennial winner of the hot dog eating championship has won again.
As U.S.A. Today report Joey Chestnut won (on Sunday) by:
"....devouring a new record of 76 franks in 10 minutes to keep his mantle atop the sport."This now a "sport"?
When I served in Vietnam, one of the local units held a similar contest...the details are fuzzy, but it involved eating the most of some food in record time. I was appalled. Here we were in another country with starvation and hunger a bigger problem than in the U.S. and we were rewarding food gluttony?
Read HERE how the U.S. (and French) military actions in 'Nam contributed to the food shortage (and therefore, the increased hunger).
