Update on The Golden Ray Cutting

      Workers have just two more cuts to make on the ship Golden Ray...five of the eight sections have been cut and moved to salvage yards.

The ship flipped on its side as it was leaving the docks at Brunswick Georgia in September of 2019.

Thousands of new vehicles on the ship were ruined, and the ship itself is being cut into pieces.

 

 

 

 

An investigation last year determined the ship did not have enough ballast loaded for the weight and makeup of the cargo it was carrying.
