Mo Mo in Insurrection Drama

The Washington Post reports on the potential subpoenas for Republican members of Congress who have been less than cooperative about the day supporters of the former President attacked the U.S. Capitol building, though that will be a difficult and perhaps unprecedented action:

"Several congressional Republicans have admitted to having some contact with President Donald Trump during the insurrection or in the days leading up to it, making their testimony potentially key to the panel’s stated goal of being “guided solely by the facts.”

The Jan. 6 panel’s chairman, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.), said in an interview that there is “no reluctance to subpoena” any member of Congress “whose testimony is germane to the mission of the select committee” if they resist cooperating voluntarily."

One of those Republicans is Mo Brooks, the Alabama Congressman who is now trying to justify his exhorting the mob to come with him to the Capitol to "kick some ass".

Watch for his subpoena as early as this week.
