UPDATED-------Moratorium Dead

Now that the courts have killed President Biden's moratorium on evictions, expect to see tons of them filed in the coming weeks.

That's especially troublesome for residents of Montgomery, which already had an eviction rate well above all of the other cities in Alabama.

Birmingham had .13 evictions a day in 2016, the last year with data posted by the evictionlab website. Montgomery had a daily rate of  5.67 per day that same year.

One can only imagine how much higher the rate will be now, after Covid related job cuts.

And yes, landlords are also impacted. CBS News reported on that part of the eviction story this week. Watch the story HERE.

UPDATE/ADDITION: Read this story to learn how both renters AND landlords can access federal help.
