The Episcopal Church of The Ascension at McDonough and Hull Streets in Montgomery's Garden District is expanding its real estate.
The church closed on Thursday on buying the property to the North, the former Lattice Inn Bed & Breakfast, which closed recently, another victim of the Covid19 Pandemic and the drastic cutback on travel.

Another nearby church, Trinity Presbyterian, has also expanded in recent years, ensuring no shortage of places to worship in that city neighborhood.
Lattice Inn owner Jim Yeaman says it took 14 months to get to this point. He says the church intends to tear the building down.
