The Washington Post reports there is a new arrangement of seats in the relatively small room in which the President holds News Briefings.
And several new news agencies will have a seat for the first time, including the Irondale, Alabama headquartered Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN):
"...seats have now been set aside for religious broadcasters (Salem Radio Networks, EWTN, the Christian Broadcasting Network); for news outlets aimed at Black audiences (the Grio, American Urban Radio Networks); for those that broadcast in Spanish (Telemundo and Univision); and for a cadre of conservative news sites (the Washington Examiner, Washington Times, Daily Caller and Newsmax). The Washington Blade is the first LGBTQ-oriented publication with an official seat. Outfits that didn’t exist a few years ago, like the streaming network Cheddar Inc., are in the mix, too."
Full WP Story is HERE.
Note: the new EWTN (Catholic) seat is right next to the also new Washington Blade seat, both in the back row. The Blade is a longtime D.C. Gay paper. Same with two other new seats--- Newsmax, ultra-Conservative- (8.8 In Montgomery) sitting next to Aljazera. Both seatmates should make for good conversations!
It's as I always said about For The Record...we should have recorded the conversations before and after each show to produce a distinct program!
